March 2020

Good Morning

Well into our first week of the Covid 19 lock down here in New Zealand.
We continue to work on new projects with several key customers and are taking calls for machine orders “once this all settles down”

XCMG, CHL and Mantall are fully operational and have been for a month. XCMG are in full production with domestic demand ramping up for another wave of infrastructure spending in China. Italy is a different story with Palazzani closed for now.

Eastland Group has won funding for a fully electric heavy watercart in the latest EECA Low Emissions Vehicles Contestable Funding round. Etrucks are delighted to be selected as the preferred supplier and the E700 8×4 will begin assembly soon.

This project has paved the way for Etrucks to offer NZ compliant, RHD, fully electric heavy trucks.
We can now offer the E700 as a 6×4 tractor with a GCM of 49,000kg.

The E700 is also available as an 8×4 cab chassis or tipper, again with a GCM of 49 tonne.

The electric E700’s are largely based on the G7 and are built in the same facility.

Sandford Bros taking delivery of the groups fourth LW300KNZ. This one will be used in aggregates in Hawera.

Our first electric XE120W with legs ready for shipping to New Zealand. It can self level on slopes up to 10 degrees with a safe working height of 12 meters. Pricing is $38,650 + GST

Our first two containers arriving during the lock down were the new XCMG 14m articulated booms.
We devanned on Monday morning, before the rules changed again. They will sit inside for now, until we return to normal operations.

XCMG had their usual presence at Con Ex in Las Vegas.
Perhaps the most interesting new release from XCMG was the fully electric XE35U-E excavator. The run time is listed at 8 hours but few details available.

This 26 tonne single drum is XCMG’s first roller running on LNG.

The gas tank is in the counterweight.

XCMG celebrated the roll out of their 200,000th truck crane with the release of 12 new models

Lots of cranes ready for delivery if you need one.
