August 2017

I was back at the loader factory last week testing the latest XCMG/Landex
20 tonne/3.5m bucket loader. This one has a Shanghai Cat 235hp engine and XCMG’s own 4 speed DANA style transmission, We are now able to offer outstanding pricing for this specification:
$153,000 + GST as a bucket loader.
$166,000 + GST as a log loader

The cabin layout is now much cleaner with all the switches on the right console.

Double braked dry axles are standard, wet axles are optional. The engine is 10.5 litres and is based on the Cat 3306B
I was invited to a key handover ceremony for a large order of mining equipment for the Middle East on a damp day in Xuzhou.

This first shipment of the order included a 300 tonne excavator and six 110 tonne dump trucks. The excavator cabin and engine on the first truck.

You can tell it’s a big excavator if there is one side of a track frame per truck.

Some of the machines before disassembly for shipping.

A line up of 36 tonne excavators for Ahern Rental in the USA and some 70 tonne stock units as well.

At the truck factory the EAA111 fully electric cab chassis was on display. With a curb weight of 3250kg and GVM of 8280kg the cab chassis features a new cabin. Please contact us for further information.

The water cooled engine is bolted directly to the transmission and mounted well back from the cabin
We have developed a new logo for the electric truck division of Landex.

Introducing Bonan Wu who has just joined Landex. Bonan is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Auckland University and will assist with new machine development projects. In a classic “small world story” (they even happen in China) Bonan’s family’s business supplies components to XCMG.

Another LW180K delivered to Fiji this week for the Fulton Hogan/Hiway Stabilizers JV, this one with the quick hitch option.

Scott Construction’s latest addition to their Mantall scissor fleet an XD100RT on site at Delegats winery near Renwick. Also their XE100C narrow electric the same site.
Wilson Constructions new XE100W electric lift at work in sunny Mataura. Next to it an ALP20 material lift ready to rent at Totalsite’s Christchurch branch.
I was also back at the Mantall factory last week taking delivery of the next container of XE60 push arounds, XE80N and XE100C scissors and some more material lifts.
They had this IMP100J lift on display with an amazing 3 metre outreach on a very small foot print. Pricing is $48,000 + GST, which is low for this type of machine.
Delivery day for Waste Managements latest 2.5 tonne forklift on solid tyres with a 4.8m container mast at their Green Island transfer site.
A trip to Samoa a couple of weeks ago to hand over an order of two rough terrain forklifts to Ott Constructors in Apia

We often get asked, how long do XCMG products last in really tough conditions? This LW1210A 50 tonne loader and two DL900 wheeled dozers are working in Russia’s largest open cast mine, right on the Artic circle. They have now clicked over 20,000 hours in these extreme conditions and are still running strong.

XCMG have released a variation on the 1200 tonne lift all terrain crane with a self deploying lattice jib for wind farm work. Weighing in at an impressive 205 tonne the crane features steering on the rear axle for improved maneuverability.
