Firstly an invitation to stop by and say hello at the Fieldays™ at Mystery Creek June 14th to 17th. Our site this year is in the new heavy equipment zone near gate 4 at the western end of the show.
I was back at the XCMG factory last week taking delivery of a couple more LW180K loaders.
Also at the loader factory was this interesting 9.5 tonne pivot steer loader with a backhoe. Fitted with a quick hitch at either end it would be a versatile tool. Indicative pricing is $83,000 + GST
At the testing facility XCMG’s latest three point static roller going through it’s paces in the 39C heat.
The XC360 log skidders seen here under assembly are proving quite popular.
How’s your head for heights? Seen in Shanghai on the way home an interesting place to operate a boom lift 101 stories up (492 m)
Soon to be working hard in Lambassa this LW180K is Landex’s first delivery to the Fulton Hogan-Hiways JV in Fiji
Also in Fiji this 14 tonne XCMG roller was working on a resort development. Tulsi Ram and Sons are long term Landex clients.
Gavin Sinclair has joined Landex as Sales Manager. Many of you will know Gavin from his previous positions with Komatsu and Volvo in Auckland. You can contact Gavin on 0226188456 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Dinesh Lamahewage has joined the Landex team as a diesel mechanic. Dinesh joins us after a long stint in Oman working on heavy equipment such as reach stackers.
A couple more rough terrain forklifts have arrived in Penrose, one with a 5m duplex mast. We will have one on display at the Fieldays™.
The first of our ALP20 material lifts has arrived. This 20′ (6.45m) unit can lift 363kg with a simple hand winch and retails at $3122 + GST
The Chinese “one belt, one road” infrastructure initiative has XCMG ramping up production to meet the demand for construction equipment. The roading, rail and port infrastructure projects initiated so far are are valued at USD 1.3 trillion.
It’s not all about numbers though, new technology is a big part of XCMG’s focus. How about a 60 tonne crane you can operate with an ipad?
A decent sized roof installation in a steel mill with seven 100 tonne cranes lined up for the lift.
Now that’s a floating crane. XCMG’s XGC28000 a 2000 tonne lift rated crawler crane installing seabed mounted wind turbine bases.
