Etrucks® are delighted to announce we are now the Deepway distributor for New Zealand.
The Deepway will be New Zealand’s most affordable BEV semi-tractor priced at $255,000 + GST (after the LEHVF funding).
The 600kWh CATL battery comes with a 8 year or 1.5 million km warranty.
Price parity for electric and diesel semi tractors is about to arrive.

The Deepway has a platooning function as standard equipment, allowing one driver to control three trucks in low speed areas.

The Deepway Star has already covered over 200 million km in customers fleets with 6200 units delivered to date in China.
Come and see the New Zealand Deepway launch at the Eroad Fleetday https://www.eroad.co.nz/fleet-managers-day/ on July the 30th at Mystery Creek. You can also experience the 1400hp Windrose on their test track.
A recent Windrose video from California, showing a dual gun charging session achieving 772kW input. The test run used roughly 110kWh per 100km at 34t, including climbing Tejon Pass.

We will also launch the Qingling EVM100 ultralight at Eroad Fleetday. With a 100kWh battery and a Bosch integrated drive axle the cab chassis has a tare of 2,315kg, one tonne lighter than competitors electric trucks.
Weight parity for electric and diesel trucks is about to arrive.
We are working on a 58t GCM 8×4 rigid with a fast charging 650kWh battery. More details as they come to hand.
To power all these EV trucks how about using sunshine? This off grid 30 truck charging facility, with 4.4MW of rooftop solar combined with 10.3MWh of battery storage is now operating in Perth.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand at the Fieldays. Our entire display was EV or hybrid this year.
BHP has chosen XCMG to be their intelligent and low emissions equipment development partner. That is some endorsement coming from the worlds largest mining company. The resulting extra R & D spend will ensure XCMG keep their market leading position in electric construction equipment.

I was in Hefei recently for some more Windrose testing. We used 109kWh of battery to travel 104km on the test track at a steady 80kph loaded to 49t gross. That is 1.05kWh/km, which indicates a duration of 624km with 10% battery remaining. Very impressive.

Yep we were loaded, not that you noticed much with 1400hp available. The truck on the right is the demo unit on it’s way to New Zealand.

Windrose will exhibit at IAA in Hannover, hall 12, stand B71. Etrucks® will be on site on the 19th and the 20th of September. Let me know if you would like to meet at the stand to check out the truck, or book a test drive.
Customer tests are also continuing including a Shanghai to Nanjing round trip for Rittal

We managed to get the Landex and Etrucks® team together, not so easy with so much going on .

Handover day for Isaac Construction’s XC968EV wheel loader at their state of the art asphalt plant in Christchurch.
16% of all wheel loaders sold in China in July were electric. Electric wheel loaders are expected to exceed diesel wheel loader sales as soon as 2027.

And charging up the loader out on site with Isaac’s dual gun 200kWh battery trailer charger.

Handover day for Bullocks Concrete and Gravel XC968EV loader, at their aggregates facility in Bulls.
There are now 50 units of this model that have clocked over 20,000 hours.

For grid limited sites we can now offer the 22.5t XCMG XC975 PHEV wheel loader. You can save 30% in diesel use compared to a conventional loader, even more if you have the ability to charge it often.

A video of it in electric drive mode is here.

XCMG/Schwing have reduced the weight of the E700 8×4 mixer truck by a remarkable 3,300kg. They are now only 12,000kg ready to go with a 6cbm electric drive bowl.

Some more highway testing, this time a hydrogen fuel cell truck in Chongqing last week.

Farizon has now delivered 300,000 new energy commercial vehicles powered by batteries, methanol or hydrogen. Unfortunately the G3 pictured, won’t be offered in RHD for a few years.

Congratulations to XCMG on the roll out of their solar arrays across their factories in Xuzhou. This is one of the buildings at the road machinery factory.

23% of XCMGs total energy use now comes from solar and 26% of their revenue from the renewables sector

I guess it’s a backhoe with a turntable? Conventional backhoes are quite good loaders but not so great as a digger, this one is the other way around.

Our 200kWh charging trailers have arrived, seen here charging an excavator and loader at the same time. These trailers are the key to getting the most out of your EV machines at any grid limited site.

They can also be used as a virtually silent and emission free generator via a range of AC outlets.

Come and see the trailer charging a range of EV trucks at Eroads Fleet day at Mystery Creek next Wednesday the 7th of August.

Windrose are now testing with AP Moller/Maersk and Kerry Logistics in China. The demonstration unit for New Zealand will arrive in early October.

The drivers will love the center line cabin, as well as the 1400hp available….

Kerry Logistics recently ran from Jinan to Nanjing, and achieved 677km at 49t

We have ordered our first EVM100 “ultralight” class one truck. Featuring a 100kWh CATL centerline battery and 140kW Bosch integrated drive axle they have a remarkably low tare weight of 2350kg. The low weight means durations of over 250km are easily achieved.

A concept drawing of a proposed ultralight EV 6m3 concrete mixer truck. The tare is a remarkable 12,000kg, more or less the same as a diesel equivalent.
