First look at the LHD diesel version of XCMG’s new P5 cabin. The RHD electric version will allow us to extend the Etruck range to include heavier 4×2 and 6×2 trucks.
Our new 180kW dual gun charger now has full IEC certification. We will test one on the E700 6×4 tractors before shipping to New Zealand.
We can now offer factory fitted “E” series Thermo King temperature control units on the electric trucks. The “E” series chillers are specifically designed to match electric truck requirements. Full service and warranty support is available in New Zealand.

Here we go for 2021 with a growing team at Landex and Etrucks. XCMG have announced phase one of an NZ $1.2 billion “new energy” factory. The project will cover 67 hectares and be used for electric trucks as well as manufacturing XCMG’s own components such as batteries, electric motor control systems etc.

We can now accept orders for the 6 tonne XC818EV fully electric wheel loader. XCMG are now the largest crane manufacturer in the world. XCMG is trialing a gantry style battery swapping system on a metro tipper fleet near Xuzhou. This will be much cheaper than the fully robotic system.
The 8×4 ULT cab chassis is now available with air bag suspension and disc brakes. The tare is now down to 12t for the cab chassis and under 14t complete with an NZ built alloy tipping body.

XCMG’s 27 tonne fully electric excavator debuted at Bauma. It features a massive 525kWh battery bank for 6 hours run time on a 2.5 hour charge. A one hour charge at lunchtime will allow you a full 8 hour shift.
The 4.2 tonne electric excavator now features remote control. This model features a Cummins developed drive train.
However 5G remote control which allows you to operate the machines from anywhere is the real game changer. This 33 tonne unit was demonstrated at Bauma.
New stock arrived of our small telehandlers after a record slow trip from China of 62 days.

Full autonomy was on show with a range of rollers now available without driver controls or cabins. Here a 30 tonne PTR and a 26 tonne single drum.

XCMG is starting to dominate the “kilo tonne” crane sector. They will deliver over 80 all terrain cranes, capable of more than a 1000 tonne lift in 2021.
Plenty of smaller cranes at the factory if you need one.
The fully electric E700 8×4 watercart has arrived. Now in testing in Auckland, it will be delivered to Gisborne in early December. We think this is now New Zealand’s largest on highway electric truck
The first of Waste Management’s E300s now delivered prior to the start of Hutt City’s 100% electric fleet for waste collection.
XCMG had it’s usual large presence at this weeks Bauma Shanghai. However the exhibition overall was smaller than usual with attendance well down due the Covid 19.
XCMG’s hydrogen FCEV tipper featuring the new Outlook cabin was released at Bauma. The tipper uses a mix of hydrogen fuel cell and lithium battery to achieve good range but still capture regenerative braking. Our next E700s to arrive in New Zealand will also feature this cabin.
The latest fully electric concrete mixer truck features a “lift off” battery pack that will dramatically lower the price of the battery swapping system.
Quality fully electric wheel loaders are now a reality with the XC918EV and XC958EV released at Bauma. The 6 tonne and 19 tonne machines both have 8 hours duration in normal loading conditions on a 50 minute charge time. Fuel costs are roughly 35% of diesel equivalents to run.
If you need bigger XCMG’s 150 tonne diesel electric XC9350 was released at Bauma. The 150 tonne operating weight loader is standard with an 18m3 bucket for quarry work.
The massive loader was certainly the star of the show at Bauma and features an energy recovery system.

XCMG can now offer reach stackers with a 60 degree tilt function to quickly unload 20′ containers. This spreader can be added to the fully electric stacker.

One of the larger users of XCMG equipment is the Wuhai City mining area. They currently run over 500 XCMG dump trucks and 200 excavators between 70 and 300 tonne.
You can tell XCMG is a big outfit when 18,000 employees turn up to watch the company sports day.
